The most awesome historical fiction book I’ve read. Does Hitler know what havoc he wreaked on so many people in every way possible and even those not possible? I cried through the entire book, but appreciated what it taught me.
  • Beautifully written, heart wrenching

Makes you feel every warm breeze and cold snowy chill. Every deprivation and hunger pang. You cry at the devastation and death and feel worn out but cheered by the final triumph of good over evil. These sisters choices,, how the get through the war, are deeply moving. One of the best of the novels on this subject I’ve read.
